TLC is a Bit of a Misnomer

, by Building Rubble

TLC, otherwise known as The Learning Channel, has not taught anyone anything in quite some time. Believe it or not, know one has learned anything from watching an overweight child and her family live their strange life. Nor has any knowledge been gained from sitting down to view a show about people who have more children than they do brain cells. "I tune in every single evening; I take notes, I read the information about the show, and I even watch the repeats. I haven't learned a thing. In fact, I think I've gotten dumber," says regular TLC viewer Gertrude Heavensby, while attempting to use her car keys to open the refrigerator. Many other viewers have also suffered due to TLC's lack of educational shows that live up to its name. However, not a single letter has been submitted to the TV executives due to the viewers' writing ability having vanished after watching the so-called "Learning Channel". "I can't even write a grocery list anymore. WHAT DO I NEED TO MAKE MAC & CHEESE?!" exclaims Evan Contouris, another frustrated viewer. As Evan's shout echoed around the supermarket, other shoppers tried to help out by shouting the needed ingredients. Many shouts were helpful, but others, such as "Cabbage!", "String beans!", and "Chicken marsala with a side of rice!" all came from other TLC viewers. As if not learning anything from The Learning Channel wasn't bad enough, TV viewers also have to deal with the fact that treehouses aren't animals yet they are somehow featured on Animal Planet. "I don't know what this world is coming to. I can't learn and I can't watch animals on TV. What do I do?!" said Michael Barnaby, a regular television viewer. We here at Building Rubble hope that our readers have managed to avoid the epidemic that is misnamed television channels. Continue to be wary as you flip through the channels. God speed.
