PETA Angered By Nintendo

, by Building Rubble

Everyone knows PETA as the radical animal rights group that lacks the common sense necessary to deter them from dumping red paint on people wearing animal fur. They have recently been in the news for submitting angry letters to Nintendo about Nintendo's wildly popular game, Pokèmon. Pokèmon, if somehow you've managed to avoid civilization for the last fifteen years, is a game centered around the capture and training of fantastical creatures for use in battles against other fantastical creatures. PETA claims that the game teaches children that animals are put on this earth for the sole purpose of serving people. They went on to say that anybody that plays Pokèmon deserves to be crammed into a small red and white ball and forced to fight, just like the animals in the game. A Nintendo spokesperson responded by saying, "It's just a game. There has never been a case of anyone playing Pokèmon and then running outside to attempt to squish a deer into ball. People aren't as stupid as PETA chooses to believe." After consulting their leader, an overgrown goat with psychic powers, PETA members mailed Nintendo the severed head of a lizard inside of a halved ping pong ball with a note saying "Look what you've done!" Nintendo did not respond because the irony of PETA's actions was too great for them to handle. Instead, they decided to take the high road and help PETA. They developed a Pokèmon game that involves using Pokèmon to fight animal abusers. The game is currently available to play for free on PETA's website and is just as hilariously cheesy as it sounds.
